A simple closing ceremony on 25th July marked the end of the 1st session of Tibet Charity English and computer classes.
The closing function was attended by the students, volunteers and staff of Tibet Charity.
Ms Rinzin Wangmo, the co-coordinator for Tibet Charity Education Section (TCES) began the proceedings by welcoming those gathered at the function.  She thanked the volunteers for working very hard in teaching the students of Tibet Charity, most of whom are new comers from Tibet who have never been to a formal school before. She also thanked the students for being so dedicated towards their studies and for being highly respectful towards their teachers.

The volunteers took turn to speak of their experience here. They all were full of praise for the dedication, respectfulness and studiousness of the students. Their strong desire to learn something new every time was something that amazed them. Many of them felt that the students that they taught here are the best ones they have ever encountered.  They all are of the view that they learnt much more from their students than what they taught them.
At the end the Director too thanked the volunteers for coming from various parts of the world to teach the Tibetan students. He also thanked all the volunteers of the past who have played equally important role in ensuring the success of our English language programs. He asked the students to practice what they learn in the class as language can be best learnt using them.
During the function, the toppers of various classes were awarded prizes. Out of 78 students studying in various levels, 56 students will be moved to the higher level while 22 students have decided to stay back in the same level.
One of the students sang a Tibetan song in the honour of the outgoing volunteer teachers.
Finally we once again thank our volunteer teachers for their productive time here with us and we wish them and all our volunteers of the past very best of luck in their life. Hope to have you back some time in the future.
