Tibet Charity observed World Hepatitis Day on 28th July 2014.
To mark the day, the Health section of Tibet Charity, put up posters and banners to create public awareness about the disease. Information leaflets giving information related to the disease was given to the public.
Besides the above, free screening was done to check if they have the disease or not. 102 people came for the screening out of which 10 people were found to be infected with the disease. Those that were found to be positive were advised to go for further checkups. Those that did not have the disease were asked to go for immunization program.
Like last year, we are very grateful to Dr. Khana and his team for providing us with the manpower and the facilities for screening free of cost.
