We announce the sad demise of an elderly lady living in Forsyth Ganj, Dharamsala. According to the information we received, she died after she slipped in the bathroom. She had high blood pressure and was diabetic as well.
As there was no known relative or family members, we organized her cremation with kind help from locals in her neighborhood and volunteers from LHA Charitable Society. We thank all of them and Tibetan Settlement Officer, Mcleod Ganj for their kind support.
She leaves behind a young boy from Bihar who has been living with her since he was around 5 years old. He has been her support during the later period of her life. She got him admitted in the local government school next to her rented house. He has now reached class eight. Now that she has passed away, his future looks very bleak as he is left with no support.
