Ama Sangay Wangmo has recently lost her only son and support to covid-19. We went to meet her with some food items and also to see if she needs any help. Though she is grateful to individuals and NGOs who have come to offer her much needed help, she is worried that she doesn’t have enough money to perform weekly pujas after the death of someone as per our tradition. This puja will go on till the 49th day after death. As we have a tradition of making financial offering as a donation for prayer lamps ༼ཆོས་མེ་ཞལ་འདེབས༽ after someone we know dies.
