As a gesture of our gratitude to our volunteers for sparing their precious time to teach the students of Tibet Charity English Language Classes, we arrange trips to local Tibetan settlements, schools, monasteries and other places of interest around us.
From this year we planned to take them on excursion twice a semester. Yesterday two of our staff members took the volunteers for a day long trip. They visited Sambhota Chauntra school where they were warmly received by the school administration. They had great fun interacting with the students of the school. They then visited the old age home at Chauntra, Zongsar monastery, Bir paragliding site and Sherabling monastery.
Our volunteers learnt a great deal about Tibetan lifestyle in exile and also about our cluture and religion. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we enjoyed arranging it.
We thank STS Chauntra for allowing us to visit their school and extending great support every time we visit them.
