Tibet Charity participated in the Cleanliness Campaign which was organized by the HP State Government on 11th Aug 2021. We have collected garbage thrown by the public alongside the road near our dog clinic at Tangalwood, Dharamsala. The campaign included all our staff and some volunteered students of our English Classes.

This campaign was meant to educate our public about the harmful effects of using and throwing plastic wastes on roads. Plastic takes many years to decompose. In addition, toxic substances are released into the soil when plastic bags perish under sunlight and, if plastic bags are burned, they release a toxic substance into the air causing ambient air pollution.

Hence we collected as many plastics as we can from the road and disposed it in a garbage truck which will further be processed for road constructions.
